June 5, 2020, Friday: Closing dinner in Dortmund, B1 course
We did it! We’ve reached B1 level. That calls for a celebration! 😀
We completed an intensive course at Lang Island School. Initially, the lessons took place exclusively via an online platform, and we were amazed at how well it worked. Thank you for that. #langislandschool
After some time, we were allowed to participate in in-person classes. It was wonderful to be sitting in the classroom and finally see each other. We had several students from abroad, so they continued to participate via an online platform. The course was designed as a hybrid course, and I have to admit… even though I live in Bochum, there were times when I stayed home but could still learn! That was really great. It meant there were no more excuses for not learning German. 😀
Now for our dinner…
After the course ended, we were all eager to get together and do something fun. We had students from many different countries in the course, so we really couldn’t decide which cuisine to try. Since there were many fans of Indian food, the decision turned out to be easier than expected. We chose an Indian restaurant in Dortmund, and I loved it, as I’d never been to Dortmund before. Before dinner, we explored a few places in the city and took some photos for our photo collection.
Afterwards, we were naturally hungry. We ordered so much food! We wanted to try all the traditional dishes. It was definitely worth it! The food was delicious, and we were happy to be able to chat in such good company. Thanks for the wonderful time, and see you soon… #langislandschool
